Notice the difficult feelings when they visit, label them (anxiety, depression, hurt, pain), get to know them, acknowledge that it’s tough and respond to yourself with loving kindness rather than criticism.

MSC 8 Week Course details:

Facilitators: Dr Joan Williams (PhD) with Dr Anne Cole (PhD, Gestalt psychotherapist)

Dates: 07 October - 25 November 2019, every Monday.

Times: 11.00am - 2pm

Saturday 09 November: 4 hour silent retreat: 10.00am - 2.00pm

Venue: The Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre, 23 Bath Road, Swindon, SN1 4AS

Cost per-person: £235

No previous experience with mindfulness and meditation is required. You will be asked to provide background information to safeguard your wellbeing. To benefit fully from the experience it is important to engage in daily home practice for at least the duration of the course.

While unlikely, should you experience emotional discomfort that requires specialist attention, and is beyond the scope of MSC practice, Dr Anne Cole is on-hand to provide professional support.
